Commercial
Growth — Win new customers and new markets
You hunt for asset owners, utilities, IPPs, developers, who are sitting on battery projects and need a smarter trading partner. Expect time in Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga, Vilnius, and at industry events. Strong commercial instincts and energy domain depth both welcome.
Customer Onboarding — Bring signed customers live
Once a deal closes, you turn it into a live, optimizing asset. That means coordinating with grid operators, project-managing across engineering and commercial and hitting a launch date. Project management chops with technical fluency.
Partnerships — Strategic relationships across the energy ecosystem
BESS doesn't operate in isolation. You build the relationships with hardware vendors, EPCs, traders, regulators, and grid operators that make our platform and our customers' assets stronger.
Marketing — Build the brand serious buyers take seriously
Energy is a serious industry that buys serious products. You build the brand asset owners trust, the content buyers actually read, and the demand the Growth team can convert.
Engineering & Product
Engineering — Optimization — The intelligence behind the platform
You build the algorithms that decide what every battery does, every minute. Forecasting, bidding, optimization under uncertainty. Math-heavy, deeply researchy, with daily real-world feedback in P&L. Strong fits include applied math, OR, ML, and quant trading backgrounds.
Engineering — Production — The platform that doesn't stop
You make sure the system keeps running when electricity markets don't wait. Backend systems, infrastructure, observability, and shipping into new markets without breaking the ones that already work.
Staff Engineering — Technical leadership across the platform
You set technical direction across teams, raise the bar on architecture and design and mentor engineers. Hands-on, opinionated, and trusted to make calls that compound for years.
Product — What we build, why and in what order
You translate market complexity, customer asks, and engineering reality into a roadmap. Heavy collaboration with Optimization, Production, and the trading desk. Energy or fintech product backgrounds are a strong plus.
Operations
Operations — Keep a fast company moving without the wheels falling off
Finance, legal, regulatory, and the operational scaffolding that lets a fast-scaling team stay nimble without missing what a much larger company would catch.

How We Work
Where: HQ in Helsinki, with team members across Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Working language: English. All meetings, documentation and code reviews run in English.
Hybrid: Most teams are in-office around three days a week. Specifics vary by team and role.
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity. We share specifics transparently with candidates in process.
Interview process: Typically 4 -5 discussions over 2–3 weeks, including a role-specific deep-dive and assignment. We'll lay out the full process before you start.
